John F. Boylan, Ph.D., a seminary graduate, has both a Master of Divinity degree and a Ph.D., in Psychology having its focus in behavioral psychology.

He has served as a Christian Chaplin at West Point Military Academy and has been pastor of several churches. He has planted three church communities which are thriving to this day. His missionary outreach to both the Christian and non-Christian communities included religious tract writing, radio show production and the broadcasting of a daily radio program, 'The Bride of Christ'. Dr. Boylan has published several books on both the Old and New Testaments. His ministerial and counseling outreach expanded to include the inmates of the Federal Correctional Institutions in Lexington , Ky. and Chillicothe , Oh. . In all, Dr. Boylan has been doing Christian counseling and ministry for 28 years - full time Christian Counseling in the Dallas area since 1989.

During this time, Dr. Boylan was personally invited by Dr. Frank Minirth to become a staff member of the renowned Minirth Clinic and he worked with Frank Minirth for several years during which time, in addition to his regular duties, he was called upon to consult with several churches and individual pastors in crisis. While at the Minirth Clinic, Dr. Boylan consulted with the U.S. Probation Office and presented several stress reduction workshops to branch agencies.

In 1999 Dr. Boylan returned to full time private practice opening The Day Spring Christian Counseling Center - preferring the quiet, prayerful, one-on-one setting which a private Christian counseling practice offers. People requesting Marriage counseling, abuse counseling, anxiety counseling, OCD counseling, family and singles counseling are frequently seen by Dr. Boylan.
